Gift policies

How BiftuSpark accepts, records, and stewards gifts.

These public policies set expectations for donor privacy, receipts, refunds, restrictions, and conflicts of interest.

Donor privacy

BiftuSpark does not sell donor information. Donor records are used for receipts, communication, reporting, accounting, compliance, and supporter service.

Gift acceptance

BiftuSpark accepts gifts that support its education access purpose and reserves the right to decline gifts that create legal, reputational, operational, or ethical concerns.

Restricted gifts

Restricted gifts should be documented in writing. If a restriction cannot be honored, BiftuSpark will contact the donor when practical and seek an aligned use.

Receipts and tax language

BiftuSpark is a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity. Donors should keep platform receipts and consult their own tax advisor for deductibility questions.

Refund review

Refund requests are reviewed based on platform rules, timing, payment status, and whether funds have been assigned or spent.

Conflicts of interest

Board members, officers, and decision-makers should disclose conflicts and recuse themselves from decisions where personal benefit could compromise judgment.
